Railroad crossing in Grand Forks set for repair
GRAND FORKS—A busy street in Grand Forks could soon close as crews repair an aging rail crossing.
Crews are set to start work on the crossing at North Third Street in Downtown Grand Forks next month.
A BNSF spokesperson tells WDAY and WDAZ they will install new track panels and concrete surfaces.
It's a project that will require them to close the street for about a day.
BNSF plans to notify the city in advance of the closure.
Train and car traffic is expected to be re-routed from the area.
