M.B. Johnson park reconstruction complete
MOORHEAD Minn.—A 10-year plan to upgrade a Moorhead city park, is finally complete.
Thursday at M.B. Johnson Park, the ceremonial ribbon was cut, signifying the fourth and final phase of the park's reconstruction is now complete.
Newly added are large shelter bathrooms, storage facilities, and both fish-cleaning and bike-repair stations.
The goal was to make the park more accessible to all people.
It has a mile of concrete trails, and two and half miles of off-road trails.
The latest phase was paid for, in part, with a 1-point-3 million dollar grant.
