World's best, gather for fast-pitch world series
FARGO N.D.—Some of the world's best ballplayers are in town for the next couple weeks.
It's the 26th annual North American Fastpitch Softball World Series.
Fifteen states and Canada are represented in the tournament.
Some players made the trip all the way from Argentina.
The tournament is two divisions, playing games over a ten-day stretch.
We spoke with a man who has been playing softball since the 70's, who tells us these tournaments are all about meeting new people and making friends.
"The people I'd never see in my life, I'll see them in the bar in Bismarck and they'll say "Hey Rynestad I remember when I hit one off you" You know it's the people you'd never meet in your normal life and the comrades together it's just the greatest time of my life," said Fast-pitch hall of famer, Bob Rynestad.
Friday night at five, there will be the Fargo-Moorhead Softball Hall of Fame induction Ceremony..
It's open to the public.
