Artists take over the Red River Zoo for Chalk Fest
FARGO N.D.—The Red River Zoo is becoming a little more colorful, thanks to artists participating in today's 2018 ChalkFest.
An estimated 5,000 people are expected to come throughout the day to create artwork all over the sidewalks.
The arts partnership rented out the zoo starting at noon on Thursday.
They came prepared with a supply of free chalk.
They hope a little sidewalk art will bring our community together.
"There's just so much comradery that goes on between the artists that are working on the pieces. And then just to get a chance to talk to people coming to the event and hear their feedback on what you're working on," says local artist Emily Brooks.
Zoo admission is free and the event runs until 7:00 p.m.
