Tamburino earns win in RedHawks debut
FARGO—The RedHawks tallied four runs in the third inning en route to a 7-4 win over Cleburne on Sunday in American Association baseball at Newman Outdoor Field in front of 3,033 fans.
Michael Tamburino gave up two earned runs on eight hits with two walks and six strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings to earn the win in his RedHawks debut. The right-hander was acquired by Fargo-Moorhead in a trade with Lincoln on Saturday.
Keury De La Cruz crushed a two-run home run in the third, his 10th of the season. Leo Pina added an RBI triple in the inning.
Devan Ahart hit his ninth homer of the year, while Tim Colwell hit his second. Brennan Metzger went 3-for-4 with a run scored.
The RedHawks (41-31) start another home series at 7 p.m. Monday against Chicago.
