Klabo, McKeever named to Summit League all-conference teams
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — North Dakota State's women's basketball team was voted to finish seventh in the Summit League preseason poll released Wednesday by the league office.
South Dakota State was tabbed the preseason favorite with 24 first-place votes, and South Dakota was picked second with the remaining nine first-place votes. Western Illinois is third, followed by Oral Roberts, Denver.
North Dakota, in its first season in the Summit League, was picked to finish sixth followed by NDSU, Omaha and Purdue Fort Wayne.
NDSU returns its top four scorers in junior Reilly Jacobson, junior Sarah Jacobson, sophomore Michelle Gaislerova and junior Rylee Nudell. As a team, the Bison return 80 percent of their scoring and 84 percent of their rebounding from last season.
The Bison women host Minnesota-Duluth in an exhibition game on Oct. 30 before opening the regular season hosting Mayville State at the Scheels Center on Nov. 6.
UND's Lexi Klabo, a senior forward from Fargo Davies, was voted to the preseason All-Summit League first team. SDSU's Macy Miller was voted the preseason player of the year.
