Minot beats Sheyenne for first girls tennis team title in 27 years

GRAND FORKS -  The Sheyenne's girls tennis team was in a familiar spot Thursday night, the dual championship match.

However they were seeing a new opponent in Minot.

The Majettes made it to the championship match after beating Red River in the semis. Minot carried that momentum into its match. 

The Majettes beat the Mustangs, 3-2 for their first girls tennis team title since 1991.

Haya Dodin won in #1 singles 6-1, 6-2 for Minot. The Majettes also got wins from Eden Olson at #3 singles and #2 doubles from Gwen Matthews  and Joelle Fettig.
