The Jamestown Police Department is seeking a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery at the Jamestown Superpumper last night, according to Justin Blinsky, assistant chief of the department. At 12:31 a.m. the Stutsman County Communications Center received a 911 call from the Superpumper, he said. “A male suspect showed a weapon and demanded money,” Blinsky said. “There were no injuries but the person took money and personal property.”
A continuance was granted Wednesday for a preliminary hearing for a Montpelier man charged with murder. Kevin Hoff, 27, is accused of murder, a Class AA felony, in the death of his ex-wife Nicole Gututala, 25, Jamestown, on May 12 in the parking lot of the apartment building in which she lived with their two children.
JAMESTOWN - An Aggregate Industries cement truck rolled into the river when the bank caved in. The truck was backing along the back of a home located on 12th Avenue Southeast when the accident occurred. Reports from the scene indicate the driver was injured and transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
A report of a suspicious person resulted in the arrest of a Zap, N.D., man in Jamestown Wednesday night, according to Lt. Justin Blinsky with the Jamestown Police Department. Brian Dean Wills, 53, was apprehended without incident at an on-ramp at exit 258 on Interstate 94. He is charged with driving under the influence of drugs and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He is being held in the Stutsman County Correctional Center pending formal charges.
A Jamestown woman was arrested following a brief foot chase Wednesday after a string of hit-and-run incidents with her own vehicle, according to the Jamestown Police Department. Lt. James Hunt, nightshift supervisor with the Jamestown Police Department, said Samantha Raduenz, 25, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Raduenz is suspected of being the driver of a 2006 Ford Mustang that struck three vehicles and two trees, he said.
A 20-year-old Larimore, N.D., man who escaped custody from law enforcement was apprehended after leading law enforcement on a search that lasted for more than two hours, according to Lt. Justin Blinsky with the Jamestown Police Department.
A high-risk convicted sex offender is living in Jamestown, according to the Jamestown Police Department. Richard Vondal, 67, resides at 2605 Circle Drive (transition house). He does not drive a vehicle. Vondal is described as a white male, 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

A woman being held in the Stutsman County Correctional Center on charges of gross sexual imposition, a Class A felony, and child neglect or abuse, a Class B felony. Hailey Tardif, either 20 or 21, 711 10th St. NE Apartment 305, is accused of willfully engaging in a sexual act with a child younger than 15 years old and inflicting bodily or mental injury on a child younger than 6 between Feb. 1 and July 19. She remains in custody on a $10,000 cash bond.
A registered sex offender who was wanted for questioning regarding an alleged break-in and sexual assault Tuesday morning was apprehended by the stockyards on the west side of Jamestown at around 10:15 a.m., according to the Jamestown Police Department.
